Words we use

Words we use sets what your team and your customers call a record, the stage where the work is won, and a visit. A solar business says Enquiry, Handed over and Site visit. An interiors business says Project and Site measurement. A starter pack fills these in; change them here.

Go to Settings › Words we use.

1. The words are for: the record type these words belong to.
2. One record is called and Several are called.
3. The won stage is called.
4. A visit is called.
5. Save words: saves your changes.

The Your words card shows whether the words come From your starter pack or were Saved here. Below it, How your trade works (from your starter pack) lists notes that come with the pack, such as Quotes are nudged on day 2, 5 and 9 after sending, then stop. These can’t be changed here yet.

Tip

Use the word your customers already use on the phone. If they say “enquiry”, don’t call it a “lead”.

Change your words

1. Under The words are for, pick your main record type: the one your enquiries start in. For Suriya Solar, that’s Enquiry (job).
2. Fill in:
   • One record is called: for example Enquiry.
   • Several are called: for example Enquiries.
   • The won stage is called: for example Handed over.
   • A visit is called: for example Site visit.
3. Click Save words. Setaflow says Your words are saved. Click Cancel to undo.

Important

The record words and the won stage name change the record type and its stage everywhere they show. They are the same names you see in Record types and stages.

Message	What to do
Pick the record type these words are for.	Choose a type under The words are for.

Good to know

• Owners and Admins can change these words.
• Renaming here and renaming in Record types and stages change the same thing. Use whichever you find easier.
